    Hi,

I am not familiar with Lightmode. You may want to get a second opinion (from a psychiatrist) I've never heard of medication instructions like the one your doctor suggested. Wishing you well. Don't stop asking questions.

    Sarahavisa,

I think you may have gotten too much information at once. I could not find Lightmode on any of the bipolar sites, maybe the doctor meant it was a "light" form of bipolar.

I'm guessing cyclopedia is actually Cyclothymia - which you can check out on line. It fits your description and is a mood disorder, milder than bipolar.

I hope this helps you. Cheers,

Check out cyclothymia- I think that might be the 'light mode' of bipolar they spoke of. It means you have less severe mania and depression but your ups and downs are more frequent. Search for forums and type in cyclothymia to find others who are in same position, althoguh it is so similar to bipolar (could be a spectrum) you could speak to people with bipolar online too
