Doctor told me I have to go on statins

He gave me the prescription and I haven't filled it and I daren't.  Even though my dad and mum take them without any problems.  

I am just too scared and reading the side effects just makes me not want to try them.  

Help I am only 34.

    If you are on bp meds I believe some bp meds can increase the affect statins have? Might want to look that up. Xx

    Hi again. If you decide to take it,I would ask for a very low dose to start. I was only on 10 mg a day and it took my numbers down quite fast. I also did a lower fat,lower carb diet. A lower dose also would have less of a chance of having a side affect. I took the statin for 1 yr with no problem,then the side affects started. Xx
