Hi I really wouldn't worry too much, have the colonoscopy and wait and see what they see. I have UC, it isn't the end of the world and it is manageable for most. There are some who are really really ill with it but if you have no weight loss bleeding vomiting ect etc then yours will hopefully be not too severe

Hi you sound very much like me . Normal bloods but calprotectin levels were slightly raised. What symptoms do you have ? Mine are blood and mucus on and off no pain no loose stools nothing . I had a scope in November last year that suggested proctitis and was prescribed asacol suppositories but biopsies were normal so they were stopped . I had another scope yesterday which again suggested proctitis I'm now waiting on the biopsy results. Try not to worry too much and don't read Dr Google too much ( I know it's easier said than done ) I do it myself .

Hi,
I got UC 3 years ago from Food Poisoning. I have been quite lucky compared to some people i read about on here.
I am currently suffering a flare up. I have stomach cramps, bloody loose stools and off most foods. I have never had sore eyes but i have recently been diagnosed with Arthritis due to swollen joints but this only happened in the last few weeks so took awhile to get to me.
This is unusual for me as generally i am quite well and have only suffered about 3-4 flare ups in 3 years.
Don't worry and see what the colonoscopy says. I have had afew of them. First couple of times i had them they were inconclusive but the 3rd did finally give me Pan Colitis which is the most severe form.
Good luck. Keep us posted. People on here are really helpful and good at advise.
