Doctors review

i was diagnosed with Diverticutilis in 2016 after a colonoscopy, i had my first flare up a month or so ago and went to my doctors. he said he would write to the specialist to see if i needed to see him and arranged a blood test the following day.

While having the blood test i asked the nurse when would i get the results, she said i would probably hear back only if something wrong.

That was 3 weeks ago and this morning i recieved a phonecall from the surgery telling me that the specialist doesnt feel the need to see me again but the doctor would like to see me for a "Review" i made an appointment for 3 weeks time. I suffer from Anxiety and now im worrying that there is something wrong. I think if there was theyd want to see me quicker than 3 weeks or would they?

Most definitely and you wouldn't be being told to see your GP you would be seeing the consultant

Diviculitis can definitely be helped by diet and keeping your bowels open regularly as it stops leaving faeces in the pockets

Try not to worry as my mother had it and was fine depending on what she ate and I have a couple of friends who have it and manage quite well

    How old are you
