Does acid reflux cause this? And how?

I notice everytime I eat food, I always feel like it's stuck in my esophagus. I have been diagnosed with this and still taking meds to hopefully heal up my esophagus so I don't have fear eating solid foods like steak for example. I just ate a piece of chicken that's soft, but it feels like it's stuck in my throat, even though I chewed my food. When I first had this problem, I thought I was going to choke on death or die from a dislodge food stuck, but they didn't find anything inside my throat with x-ray done. It's really scary on how many times I want to go to the ER when it feels like something is inside my throat, but I'm still breathing and talking just normally. How can I deal with this scary situation? I would like some helpful advices on what I can do.
