Does Amitriptyline serve like an SNRI

I read that Amit can be like Effexor.  Effexor is an SNRI.  My doctor thinks I have a chemical imbalance in my brain.  How well does Amit work on this?

Works differently for everyone but helped me enormously.

Just be aware that the longer you take them the harder it is to stop.  Hopefully they will help you find peace and then you can look at more natural ways to help yourself ( mindfulness etc..  )

    Good luck.
