does anyone experience sharp stomach pains as a result of acid reflux ?

I can go a few days feeling ok then suddenly start with stomach pains which are extremely painful - these can last a couple of days.

at times also have vomiting. Take lansoperazole twice a day.

The Acid can cause gastritis it is

    inflammation in your stomach.

Which can cause pain. If u are a smoker

or a heavy drinker u must stop. The PPI

or H2 Blockers should help the pain. If u have pain 1 day the next day you don't

see what u had to eat or did u take any Advil aleve Aspirin. If ur vomiting that could be a side effect of the medication or u took medication on an empty stomach if ur having multiple symptoms etiology unknown you have to consider you may have irritable bowel. It can effect your esophagus and stomach and cause acid reflux and Gerd

Don't smoke - drink very little. Lansoperazole to be taken on an empty stomach - 50 minutes before food - which I do. Don't think it's a reaction to the medication because can be okay for a while - then suddenly have a flare up - more than likely something I might be eating ??

boy that was fun if UNEVER get hungry that barium is heaven to drink

they found. Just like everybody else

the pain is excruciating. I spoke to the GI dr I knew he was going to say it u have irritable bowel. I have to wait 5 weeks to have an EGD thank god it isn't a tumor. U feel like el crappo. Some of it is the side effects of the medication. They go by your personality. Are u stressed anxious has something stressful happened are worried etc. It is really kind of maddening to hear it because it is so painful your body is a nervous wreck

      that is it.

Don't get bloating, diahorrea, constipation, loss of appetite - rarely.

have never suffered from depression or anxiety.

my main problem is intermittent sharp stabbing stomach pains.

ALISON U CAN GET 1 symptom and it is can be irritable. U can get constipation diarrhea or both. It is a new adventure of fun everyday. Symptoms can change for a day or

stay the same all the time. It depends

on what is going on in your lifeO would not rule it out there doesn't have to be consistency with symptoms.

Recently I ate a big fattening dinner and woke up to horrible acid reflux! For the last 5 days I have been suffering horrible upper abdominal pain and nausea with vomiting as well it's so painful I completely lost my appetite and have barely eaten in 5 days only stuff like ape sauce and banana or white rice a piece of toast here and there I'm having severe anxiety with all of this and can't function because of the fears that go through my mind constantly of what I might have its just horrible and in missing out on life laying around worrying and googling symptoms just to read the same stuff over and over its pure insanity!
