Does anyone else experienced this dizziness and headaches?

Hi Everyone-

I would REALLY appreciate your comments and advice. I am a 26 year old and have been struggling with severe dizziness for the past two years. It has gotten worse and I have suffered with additional symptoms- severe headaches that last days, weakness, focus issues, tingling in my hands and legs, distorted vision, twitching, buzzing in my head, sensitivity to light and sound and eye pressure.

It has ruined many experiences for me, and I often just want to lay down and cannot stand for too long. The headaches are throbbing and it has messed with my focus and memory. I have had to call out of work or leave because of how I am feeling, and I no longer am able to enjoy the things I love. It is very uncomfortable and I am desperate for an answer. I have been told that it is anxiety but I know my body and it is beyond "just anxiety".

The constant headaches are new within the month- but they will not go away. I go to bed with them and wake up in pain. It throws off my day and makes me really worried. It is hard to hold a conversation and keep my head up. I am desperate for a solution. I miss being happy and living my life.

Thank you for reading!!

Hello there don’t worry your not the only one suffering like this I’m also the same I suffer with dizziness everyday and headaches everyday, it does really effect your life but doctors don’t seem to understand that! I’ve been told I have chronic tension headaches which cause all the symptoms like your excperiencing! It’s an horrible feeling I go to a chiroprator which seems to help me a lot it eases my headaches for a few days don’t feel 100% but does help, and ita good to get things off your chest just helps you not to worry as much that it’s something more serious.

Thanks for your response! I will definitely look into seeing a chiropractor. Any bit of relief is worth it! I am finding it hard to push through the pain- no amount of ibuprofen or related meds help. Any recommendations?

Yeah they do really help, and that’s why I go just for the little bit of relief, can’t really say anything eases it at the moment I wish I could I am awaiting for steroid injections in the back of my neck so I shall keep you posted on how that goes, that was through my chiropractor referring me for it. So hopefully that does give me some relief.

Hey sjfrank I am currently having literally the exact same things you are experiencing. All those symptoms I am experiencing and also blank stare.. I just stare a lot at things and can’t stop. I’ve had it for a month now and I do have anxiety disorder and I’m on zoloft now since last week and I’ve gotten into habit of thinking I’m going to get a seizure anytime I get all these symptoms because it is sometimes I get these not always but now it’s more often because I think more of it which I hope is just anxiety. I’m really scared  sad but at least I’m not alone. Hope we both can find solutions.

      Hi Andy,

I know, it is very scary! I started on Wellbutrin and the side effects made everything so much worse so I am no longer on any medication for anxiety. I hope you find relief! I will keep you updated and let you know if anything helps. I did get a massage and it really helped the tension and pain in my neck and upper back for a day or two, but the dizziness is something that will just not go away.
