Does anyone else have knee joint pain?

Posted , 16 users are following.

I was diagnosed about 8 months ago and I have pain in my shoulders, neck, back and hips.... Also in my knees. My rheumatologist says the knee joint pain must be some form of arthritis not PMR.  Does anyone else have it in their knees? Anyone care to weigh in? I would sure appreciate it.

I too have been diagnosed recently and i had pains in knees and behind the knees. Could barley walk in the morning and they stiffened up later in the day.

Once i split my dose to early morning, afternoon and supper I'm great (20mg).

I have to thank whoever put splitting doses online but my rumi also told me to split and i split it even more to pull me through the night.

I'm experiencing what Eileen said.  And since I've worked on my correct posture (partly learned fro physical therapist and more so from my Bowen gal) my back and shoulder pains have lessened greatly.

Bowen gal showed me I'm hunching my shoulders (bringing toward ears) so very often! Now I really focus on bring shoulders down using my big muscles in back, the Lats, and opening chest and wow, I feel so much better.  She noticed I use my back incorrectly to do things verses my abs, butt muscles, and same with arms and shoulders...using the larger muscles of upper back to help.

saying this because your knees may take the brunt of things.  Also my muscles have atrophied BIG time from Pred. so perhaps your knees are taking even more stress. You may need to consider having a physio look or even ask Bowen person how you take stress off knees.

It is hard to rest for PMR but yet do enough movements and activities to keep up our strength and mobility... Grrrr...

No knee problems.  Mine is left foot right now. It started swelling, Doctor did X rays and  it is full of arthritis. I was down to 2 1/2 mg pred. But went up to 7 1/2 . I wish I could find someone here who did Bowen.

i hope you get relief with your knees.

I've sent you a private message with a link to a website listing Bowen therapists. There are listings for Akron and North Canton - and I've just noticed Ravenna and Kent. That will be the person Audrey mentioned in July but she got the place name wrong, she said Rowenna!

You'll be able to tell better than me if anywhere else is closer to you - but I think you can't be very far from North Canton if you live south of Youngstown.

I knew there was a site listing Bowen practitioners all over the world - I just had to find it. Then clicking on Ohio and bringing up a map took a minute.

Google is a wonderful thing when used properly smile

      And thank you redface
