Does anyone else, have strange symptoms when they have their menstral periods?

Posted , 3 users are following.

Resently, my periods have gone haywire; one time, I was overly painful(all over my body), the next one, I'm far more angry then normal (mum and bro, agree with this) and on this period, my asthma is playing up - my peak flow is better than ever!.

I've heard that some times that a large amount of hormones, can affect? women on their periods but  I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone had anything similar?

Any advice is helpful 😢

If you are worried about it Rachel, you can get a blood test to determine your hormonal balance. Have a pelvic exam as well where your doctor can determine if you may have any cysts on the ovaries. Depending on your age, I would say that most women if not all, have had weird menstruel periods now and then. I know I did. I am past that stage now however but I remember some months I would have a heavy flow and my moods were all over the place. When I reached mid 40's my periods were all off the due dates and unpredictable. That was a sign of the beginnings of Menopause. Some start in their late 30's. So don't worry about it Rachel. Just get your doctor to check things out and perhaps refer you to the obstetrician. You may have a bit of a hormonal imbalance but sweetie, we all do at one point. Maggie x

Thank you Maggie, I will do that. It's a comfort to know that other women, aside from my mum, have had a weird faze. Thanks again Rachel 😊💜

Oh my god! Finally someone has mentioned this. I am psychotic and the pain is intolerable! Everywhere! Fibromyalgia and mensturation are fierce enemies. I'm at a loss with it. Continual bleeding throughout the month. Three week long periods and spotting in " my week off" from bleeding. I'm sick of going to the doctor. I did have polyploid endometrium but had a colposcopy. Men would never have that operation without anaesthetic. Told to take two paracetamol! It hurt but not as much as Fibro.

more info on mensturation and fibromyalgia would be good.

im sorry you are suffering also. If you find anything out do repost.

wish you all the best and it's probably another trip to the doctor!

    lots of love

    xx
