Does anyone else experience this with their small fiber neuropathy?
Twitching mainly in my legs (thighs, calves) but can come and go elsewhere. It is NOT in my tongue or eyeballs. I also experience joint pain in the knees and elbows. My legs feel stiff a lot and heavy. Makes it hard to walk at times.
I have some bilateral numbness that comes and goes in my shins, forearms, & face. *My main complaint is the heavy legs (sometimes arms) and not being able to walk for a long time without legs stiffening.*
Anyone else?
I had a nerve conduction test. MRI/CT of brain. Blood work, etc. - all good.

To conclusively prove small fiver N, a tissue biophy is needed, where the small fiber nerves are compared against a healthy, known amount. I takes a week or two for the wound "holes" to heal. But it is the diffentive answer. From there, its up to the neuroligist to decide the meds. There is no cure, the best I have found is R Alpha Lipotic Acid pills. Check it out at Linus Paling Institute, Univ. of Oregon.

That's what I heard as well.
I'm wondering, though, if these symptoms are unusual for SFN as I fear I may have been misdiagnosed.
