I've had 4 years non stop BV
I tried antibiotics metronidazole 3 x
and the cream version for BV
but nothing worked.
I then started trying bv suppositories by ( balance active uk )
the balance active pessaries helped it sort of settled the main symptoms like the horrible colour discharge and the worst symptom the smell .
unfortunately I got my period and bv started again but not the brown discharge but I was still getting the nasty smell.
i then tried vitamin c suppositories they worked but soon as I finished the course the smell returned once again.
then I tried boric acid it was my last hope and yea it helped but everytime I get my period the bv comes back.
but if your new to bv I suggest a simple bv gel or pessary could clear you up as you haven't had bv that long
if that fails go to your doctor and get antibiotic cream to insert at night for 7 days that has cleared others of bv
if that fails look into it more by getting swobs etc
you could try home remedies also
like sea salt baths or Tgel gel to insert .

it definitely comes and goes. i recommend a daily probiotic .. i use femdophilus or jarro dophilous they are expensive and need to be refrigerated but its total worth it. you can try pessaries but that only helps in the moment.. the only way to "cure" bv is to populate the good bacteria vs the bad bacteria.

Drinking lemon water or lemonade using fresh squeezed lemons works for me. Lemons are very acidic and help maintain your pH balance. I drink everyday or every other day or only during times of sex and sometimes my period. I haven't had to use boric acid capsules in a while.

I have never tried with store bought lemon juice. In my research, it was always fresh squeezed lemons. After I realized it worked for me, I purchased a juicer and use regularly. Good luck!
