I've been dealing with it for the past few weeks too ;; It's been stressful because a lot of social things have been going on and it feels like I'm going crazy when I see a bunch of people in a crowd or when my friends are talking to me, or each other

It's the first time, but nowadays I don't feel it as strongly as before^^ I was dealing with a lot the past month or so, and everything is slowly getting better

Hi Anita, I agree with other members we all go through feeling alone and scared. We are here for you, I also, suggest seek advice from your gp.

Thank you so much stephaney that means a lot smile I've been to see my gp he done some bloods and all came back ok. I've tried different tablets for the head & neck pain but nothing worked sad He also gave me beta blockers which helped calm me but they don't seem to be working as well anymore.

I've got my MRI on Saturday which I will be glad to get over. I can cope with the head & neck pain but it's the derealization I'm struggling with & the strange thoughts x

I can totally relate to having to take beta blockers to calm you. The strange thoughts, is it the same thoughts going around and around your head? x

Hi Anita, what kind if thoughts are you having? Good luck with your MRI.

I have the same thing currently. It has subsided a bit though. It's like my mind is just analyzing itself constantly. Background thinking that is overshadowing my regular thoughts. It feels like insanity. It actually cussed depression. Currently taking 10 mg of fluoxetine (day 20, ugh).

Absolutely! I am recovering from labyrinthitis (inner ear infection) and it's had me all messed up. I still am. I have been dizzy, anxious, panicky, scared and nervous abut EVERYTHING. It's hard to do anything at all. Everytime I leave my house to do anything I get the feeling that I'm not sure what I'm doing or where I am, my memory is horrible lately. I remember what I've done but it doesn't feel real. I literally feel like im in the process of snapping and going nuts. The depersonalization is one of the scariest things I've ever delt with. I'm sorry you have to deal with it too. You can always message me and I'll be here to talk with you. Distraction is hard but helps because sometimes before you know it, it's better. Not gone, but tollerable. I promise. I'm scared 24/7 and have it a lot.

You are not alone on this honey.

Derealization isn't going to hurt you in any way.

I know it feels strange and scary, I have it to sometimes.

This happens when the body is trying to protect itself from all the stress that is going through.
