Does anyone every feel they were wrongly diagnosed?

Hey I'm new here.

I was recently told I have depression after having loads of test to find out why I get migraines. I can kinda understand why they came to the conclusion with stuff that has happened over the last few years. I'm not one for crying so that was the reason they gave for the delay in diagnosing it.

Anyway since I have been put on 2 different types of tablets as the first lot I had a bad reaction from. I still feel bad on the new ones. I have never had panic attacks before I do know! And the migraines are worst than ever. I have been told to give it 6 weeks I’m now on my 12. I feel 'depressed' now from being so unwell all the time. Its affects my work because I can't concentrate (I never had this problem before the tablets).

When I mentioned this the last day I was told I am just going through a depressive episode at the minute and it's just a coincidence. The strange thing is though it has had the opposite affect on my libido than what most say.

Hi - I'm a 'newbie' here too, I think only you yourself knows if you're depressed. Have you seen the same doctor? Maybe you need a second opinion.

hi. can i ask, if you not suffering from depression, what do you think it might be? if you think the tablets not working or making you feel worse, i should go back to gp and tell them. you should know yourself more than anyone, tell them if you not happy with what theyve given you. i've read on this site somewhere, that not all medications work the same on each individual perhaps yours not right for you. smile
