Does anyone find close-fitting clothes now cause discomfort?

Hi all, I have found that wearing clothes that aren't necessarily super tight but are close to my skin can really set off an irritated, burning, uncomfortable feeling (though no irritation can be seen). It's especially bad with skinny jeans or similar pants. (Again, these are not unusually tight, so shouldn't be affecting circulation or anything, and I haven't gained weight-- it's just the way they make my skin feel.)

Is this why women of a certain age always start wearing Eileen Fisher? Ha ha. No, seriously-- I find myself suddenly craving flowy pants just for comfort! (Fortunately they seem to be coming back into fashion.) Anyone else?

    hi jen and Lucy

I have exact same thing and yes skinney Jean's are the worse. I have good days and bad days. it is as you describe a burning or crawley stingy feeling. I have had it since I started peri it was my first symptom. I'm now 4 years on and still get it but not so bad.

    Hi Jen,

Yes!! Mostly on my legs, chest and arms.

I can't wear high neck/turtleneck tops anymore, rarely wear long sleeves, and wear skirts on the bottom, even in dead of winter.

Yep. Typically right before my period i get super hot down there and i cant stand tight clothing. It almost hurts to wear anything tight.
