I suspect I have and could really use some advice and support. I am very scared.

What is LPR? Please stop the bulimia now! I was bulimic for over 25 years and finally stopped when I developed a pain under my rib cage on the right side and was terrified I had done myself permanent damage. I felt so horrible after purging, and that pain would hit me in the night...I finally realized it just wasn't worth damaging myself. Please see this as a wake up call to finally stop! Though I am not happy with a few extra pounds these days, I forgive my body for not being perfect. It isn't my body's fault and not fair to punish it so! Need to treat it more nicely, take care of it - it's the only one you've got!

Betsy you are so right. I am so happy for you that you managed to overcome your bulimia after such a long time. LPR is silent reflux. It usually happens when the esophagal sphincter is damaged or weakened and stomach acid leaks into your esophagus and up into your throat. It doesn't necessarily cause heartburn like traditional GERD would, but it effects your throat and voicebox and can cause cancer. I hope you are now living a happy and fulfilled bulimia free life. Enjoy and treasure it Xxxxx
