Does anyone have visible red bumps/spots on throat from reflux?

Posted , 10 users are following.

I have read so much about reflux/LPR now, and I do have many of the symtoms, mianly globus/tightness, burping, and in the last 3 months sore throat and some hoarseness.

I have visible irritation on the back of my throat and around where my tonsils were (had them removed). They look like little red bumps, a little orangey maybe. I have been told it can be called cobblestone throat.

Of everything I have read, I haven't found anyone saying they have this visible irritation from reflux on these forums

Could anyone speak up if they do, as Im so confused, spedning so much money and going from doctor to doctor in despair!

Thanks

      Hi Bonnie

After 4 endoscopies I was told that the irritation in my throat was nothing out of the ordinary. I couldnt help but obsess over it as I have had so much  pain in my throat for a year and a half. I think a few red bumps are nothing to worry about, just as if you see the back of your tongue you have many lumps

I have followed a psychosomatic approach to my problems, as after thousands of pounds and so many specialists and doctors I was not getting better. I really believe that all my chronic problems are in some way coming from chronic stress and anxiety. If you are interested, read any book by DR John Sarno, or look up TMS. It's changed the way I look at chronic pain

I hope you find your way smile
