I too don't know where to find it, but a internet search should find an outlet and I very much doubt that it will be authentic. Co proxamol though, has been shown to be only as effective as Paracetamol on it's own, and has been proved to be very dangerous in causing suicides in people who took them. Therefore I (personally) would keep well clear. By the way it was first banned in 2008.

Thank you Janice for your reply,I have not heard co proximal causes heart failure, that could just be a coincidence.

What I can not understand is we do not seem to get the truth.

My Doctor is a tip top guy retiring this week but I sensed he was avoiding telling me the truth.

Any medication can cause side effects but when so many people say the same as I do that the other tablets don't work as well as coproxomol they won't believe us.

I did think it might just be me but not anymore.

My brother is a very successful scientist and he can not see why co promoxomol is any more dangerous than tramodol, and even if it is do I want another 25 years of pain if I live that long.

Steve thank you for your reply.

I have tried all pain killer on/ off prescription and they do not work the same.

As for the ban I only lost them 3 years ago maximum so my doctor was good to me.

I will not buy of the internet, you are correct too dangerous

I found an over the counter, as in a Pharmacy, drug that has Diclofenac in it called Voltarol - again a drug that my GP won't prescribe anymore to me due to high risk of heart failure...but how comes a Pharmacy can sell it. Maybe give that a shot...But as the others are saying, I wouldn't buy off the internet. And as for Tramadol - strong drug but if it works take it! My pain isn't as anywhere acute as some that post up on here...I have disk degeneration in my lower disc and am awaiting a steroid injection into the facet joints around it. My pain is at its worse in the night and first thing and then only if I have walked a fair distance (I used to love walking) or standing for lengths of time...its like the worse tooth ache ever...But other times it just lets me know its still there if I jolt my back or my footing goes down uneven on the floor whilst walking...But I feel for every single person that has back pain in whatever degree...it's just debilitating. I know its aged me over the last year and half when its been its worst. It first started niggling in my early 20's and over the years I have had a variety of physio, osteo, chiro, sport massage....to name few..i am now 51 and about to get my first injection...whoop whoop...fingers crossed it works for me
