hi

I have not been diagnosed with panic disorder but I believe I do as I get a lot of "attacks" and my tests come back normal apart from irregular heartbeat which I think is ok.. I get very warm feeling over me followed by lightheaded and feeling im going to pass out.. can anyone shed some light on it or is it cardiac related or simply panic,i get tingling in my lips and tips of fingers numb at times. I be been getting chest pains like sometimes a sharp or dull ache which goes in to my left arm and between my shoulder blades and im always concentrating on it any help from other or people who are in same boat would be grt neutral

    Hello,

This sounds very much like hyperventilation, which you can correct with some slow deep breaths.  There is a lot of info about this which is very helpful to correct how you breathe.  I have had tingling lips and arms felt like they were 'dead', but soon came right with some slow deep breaths.  Some times breathing into a paper bag can help, didn't in my case.  Hope this helps.

by irregular do you mean a rapid pulse? if your tests said that everything is okay then that should perhaps reassure you that it's nothing serious and possibly connected to anxiety? I suffer from anxiety and often get palpitations and my pulse is always rapid, but I've recently learnt that it's a physical symptom of anxiety. I also experience the numbness and tingling sensations as well. they're all physical symptoms of anxiety.

chin up mate, if you ever need a chat just message me. But if you do experience intense pain or discomfort go straight back to the doctors. In my personal opinion it sounds like anxiety but however I'm not a medical proffesional.

    peace

Hello dear. I am agreed with JGoodman it may be the case of anxiety. I had a cardiac event in November 2013. I had my angiogram and told by my cardiologist that I dont need any further procedures because I had mild irregularities in 2 of my arteries and moderate in one. But with the time passing I went in the state of depresion and anxiety. I always had the feeliings of irregular heartbeat, chest pain and discomfortability, vomiting etc etc. I had my proper checkups with my cardiologist. Then I consulted with a psychetrist and started medicine of anxiety and depressed which helped me a lot. I getting better day by day.

    Wish u all the best.
