    Hello

I have been in Zoloft for about 5 weeks now and I do take lorazepam when needed. I usually have to take it in the am since my anxiety is the worst then. The doctor said it’s okah until my Zoloft is completely effective smile

My beta blocker is metoprolol. Do you have heart issues as well? My anxiety is worse at night. I wake up in the middle of the night heart racing, shaking, sweaty palms. Totally  sucks.

What mg of Zoloft do you take? Have you always had anxiety attacks? Mine just started 4 weeks ago. What symptoms to you have when having a attack?

I don’t have heart conditions no. And my anxiety started about 2 years ago when my son was about 2 years old. I would get them and then they got worse and worse and cause me depression . I then got on Zoloft ( 50 mg) and it took a while but it worked wonders for me. I then decided to get off them ( which I should have never done) and about 3 months ago my anxiety started up again and this time it was even worse than the last. I would literally be pacing back and forth all day with intrusive thoughts, vomiting, physical pain, shakes, you name it.  I then decided this needs to stop because I couldn’t handle daily tasks and life. I am now on 50 mg again and it’s been about 5 weeks. I have side effects but they have decreased significantly and I’m finally starting to feel better. I’m just trying to take it day by day.

HI  Shaunta I take beta blockers aswell as sertraline. I’m on propranolol 80mg I take 1 in the morning and 1 at night because of my anxiety. I’m also on Gabapentin for my syaticar and nerve pain in my back and legs. Do u think I’m mixing too many tablets for my sertraline to start kicking in? As I’ve been on 100mgs for the past 4wks now and only a slight improvement. I still can’t fall asleep naturally and still get slight panick attacks, I just want to feel like myself again 😢

I think the more medication mixed together takes a little bit to get the full effect. I was on 25 mg of Zoloft and dr just increased to 50 mg. Hope to start feeling normal again.

I know this is an older thread but I would like to know how that worked for you!  My dr prescribed metroprolol succinate xl and I take Zoloft 100 because sometimes I get fast heart rates.  I woke up this morning and my heart rate was 120 but was scared to take the 2 together but guess I need to give in  and I have suffered from panic attacks since I had my first baby which has been 24 years ago.
