I don't think it interfered with the caffeine no. What I do think is that maybe the caffeine was a little to strong for you. At what time did you have it may I ask? If I have strong coffee it can make me really worked and I can sometimes get heart palpitations even before I started citalopram. Maybe reduce you caffeine intake for a few days and see if it helps. Don't worry to much about why it happened and just except it did and was likely just a caffeine induced blip. It will pass.

      thanks for reply hope

i usually drink everything decaff, tea & coffee, my mate got me a filter coffee & i didnt want to appear rude!

i guess its a case of dust yourself down and get back in the ring!

i guess no matter how far i am on this journey, you still need a kind word from someone on the same path x

      what a great forum!!!

Yeah I try to not drink to much coffee. My friend drinks filtered coffee and once made me one and I literally felt so weird after. Shaky and uneasy. It was a shock to my system, I don't know how she managed to drink so much of it a day. 3 caffinated drinks a day is enough for me.

it does not interfere with medication however it can cause quite bad anxiety and not only physical but also mental anxiety. I do love coffe ans drink it daily but I need to be careful with it as at times I have too much and it gives me bad anxiety. when I started the medication I did not drink coffee for 4 months to just avoid anxiety caused by it. for someone like you who dont consume caffeine as much I am not surprised you felt like that after that one cup. coffe is a stimulant.

    Hey Rob,

I had to cut caffeine, chocolate, sugar out completely. I was able to introduce it after 7 months. I also had cut out alcohol. I was getting so jittery and the panic attacks were freaking me out. I was hospitalized 3x. Thank you Lois and Kate and Michelle and Ben.

And others here which really saved me.
