Yes it causes me pain, and when I'm outside too long it feels like the titanium is cold in my leg, a constant ache. I think the circulation isn't as good in the THR leg.

By pain do u mean ache? I was unfortunately bitten by a spider on the butt cheek same side as hip side and had to ice it and had aching from the cold. It stopped when I took off the ice. Not sure if the metal gets cold and conducts it thru the bones. Just my thoughts no medical backup im afraid.

big loud YES, not so much pain as a deep seated ache is how I would describe it.

I think it does - I never felt cold cold - but then I also lived in Los Angeles for 34 years ---- goodness ...now I understand  people who are saying: I am freezing !

Is it the hardware(in both hips/legs)???  I  rub some stuff on thighs for cold and stiff muscles and that seems to help a little - but smell is not so attractive -

It looks so pretty outside - snow dusted trees - sjeesh

Yes TLG, in my opinion cold weather always causes me pain.  So does rainy weather.  I guess I am stuck with these human discomforts.

    Take care!
