I'm a 70 year old female who exercises regularly. I started taking Atorvastatin 10 mg and within 3 weeks I developed severe muscle pain in my back. I went to every other day, and the pain did not subside so I stopped. Its been 6 weeks today and nothing has changed. i

The pain in my back is relentless. I've been exercising daily - a mix of light weights, pilates, yoga, walking, water walking - and I have had no relief. I'd like to know if anyone has found relief with exercise, or without exercise. If so, what kind of exercise? I did exercise regularly before taking a statin.
