Hi Desiree, exercise is proven to help anxiety and depression, unfortunately for me I've never been one for exercise apart when I'm drumming in a band and get a decent workout with that but I've never been a jogger, runner or a person that goes yo the gym. Might be time for me to do something about it, I know a boxing club run by some friends of mine who would let me use the facilities for free, just need the motivation.

Yeah thats how I feel, but at this point Im willing to try anything to help me out ... SO I might have to put on my running shoes and try to make it to the end of the block Lol

Consistent exercise did wonders for my anxiety. It's a really good way to get rid of stress and pent up energy that anxiety tends to give me. It also helped me in that I lost weight and looked better all around. It makes you healthier too especially if you eat better as well which also helps anxiety.

it absolutely does.  at one point i relied on it heavily to sleep well at night.  i'd jog in the evening obviously then would typically fall asleep easily and would sleep well.  i still do it to this day and did notice i felt worse or didn't deal with anxiety as well when not jogging or exercising.  it's a great stress outlet for sure.
