Does having Fibro mean you pick things up more easily like colds, flu and viruses?

I'm asking because I always seem to be ill and pick up things that are going around! Does anyone else with Fibromyalgia find this to be the case?

I too seem to pick up colds and such. I also find it really irritating that when i go to the doctors for something not related to my condition they just roll their eyes and say its the fibro that's causing it.

I'm currently having problems with the Achilles tendon in both ankles. I've been sent for yet another x-ray but been told not to hope there's anything wrong as its just the fibro for the last 6 months

I think when they cannot find a reason for pain they call it fibro, just to give you a name for it or the other fav. Is anxiety or depression.

Hi I think you may pick things up easily because of your condition you generally feel low,you probably are back and forwards to Drs hospital etc and may come into contact with people who have colds etc so are more liable to pick them up anyway.

I would also like to say to Joan who posted reply, Joan you need to get a proper diagnosis your problem could be a number of things.

    All the best Steve
