Does HPV clear in men?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I am a 34 years old male. About three years ago, I started showing warts caused by an HPV infection. There were no other symptoms and I knew who I might have gotten it from. I went to a sexual health clinic and got them treated with liquid nitrogen. All the warts cleared up in a few weeks and I have not shown any warts at all since then. I was told in the clinic once it is all gone, I should not be contagious.

Does anyone have knowledge of whether this actually true. Many sources say once you get it, you always have it. Is there a chance I am still contagious even though I have not shown any symptoms since then?

thank you

But if you get vaccinated not, right? I had warts too, but didn't test positive for HPV. I got the warts treated and then took 2/3 shots.

just because the warts are gone

the chance is always there for a reinfection

They are so many mixed opinions on this one. Even my doctor said if the warts are gone you aren't contagious. Just get the vaccines and that's it.

Yes we can be a carrier but not contagious (it is also possible to have it, that's why we strengthen the immune system when we have hpv). In addition, yes the vaccine is good! but does not protect against all strains .. my sister had genital warts while she was vaccinated 😃

Well oh well. One question though, I had warts too, but wasn't HPV positive. Then I was told that warts aren't always linked to HPV
