after i had mono in feb 2022 i still don't feel like myself, it literally took me months to feel some what normal & my symptoms are starting again. i have been to the doctors non stop and everything seems fine. & im pretty sure at this point they dont know what to even tell me. i am going to make a appointment with a infectious disease doctor because im literally losing my mind!!

my current symptoms are

  1. burning/sore throat
  2. breathing on & off
  3. major fatigue
  4. depression/anxiety
  5. pain in lymph node

6 feels like flu symptoms or allergies i dont even know any more

    7 hot flashes/ cold

    8 brain fog

literally im so scared of this thing and dont know what to do ,it literally feels like im losing my mind or i think the worst case scenario! does anyone have the same problem or any tips? i would highly appreciate it!

I am 24 month into mono. around 8 months after unset, I had noticeable progress for around 2 months, until I overestimated my progress and returned to exercise, and that set me back to the first square. I also had some Covid infections afterward.

Only in recent 3 months I am again seeing some progress.

I think it is most important to not exceed you energy envelop, and at the same time you need to have activity daily. This is what has helped me to progress again.

Sorry you're going through this, I'm going through similar.

Woke on 4th Nov 2021, feeling ill. Blood test on 11th Jan 2022 confirmed I had Glandular Fever. I haven't felt completely well since.

I have days where I feel like I'm better and I manage to potter and catch up on a few things but then I'll feel wiped out again and my throat will hurt again.

It's difficult because I do have CFS, so when I spoke the Dr last time and he said "it sounds like CFS to me" I felt completely dismissed. Yes, maybe my CFS has got worse but don't just assume that!!!

My sleep pattern has also gone completely barmy. Sometimes I'm awake for a day or 2 and then I'm asleep for a day or 2. Sometimes I sleep for say 3hrs and feel like I'm better.

I have had to cancel so many things i.e family visits, going away with my husband, appts I need.

It's ridiculous and no one understands.

I hope this is not my life now, nor any of yours 🤞
