Does it take longer than 4 months on one dose?

Did it take longer to level than 4 months on same dose? I am 3,5 months and still anxious and feel down nearly every day, but I felt better last week, is it just a blip or this med is not for me?
Thank you for your input in advance!

Same here. I cant even decide if I should increase my dose or not as I feel drugged many times. Even when I feel ok my head is not 100% clear, dont want to feel more drugged or fully emotionless or similar. So hard to know what to do.

Hi, I'm 14 weeks on Sertraline 50mg. I have felt amazing after the first 6 weeks but the past few days I have experienced pretty bad anxiety, something so silly set off my health anxiety and I was right back at square one. Morning anxiety, loss of appetite. I think I am coming through the other side now and I do believe it was just a blip. From what I've read it can take up to 8months on the same dose to fully level out. Blips are part of recovery and they will happen less. Don't panic and stick with it at least to 18 weeks 😃

Thanks very much the encouragement, I needed that. Yes I will stick to this dose for another 3-4 weeks and then reassess. I've found someone on facebook who said that it took more than 8 months on the same dose to fully level I just didn't know if I could believe it or not, its just too much time..

It's just a blip. Hang in there. Still trying to build the necessary level in your body so you can maintain more better days, or even days I call. Days when you are more even. Do NOT freak out at every little bad day. Just go with the flow. Take it one day at a time. Again, try not to get stressed. Think positive thoughts. Remember that nothing lasts forever, good or bad. In everything there are seasons, night and day, sun and moon, ebb and flow. Cheers.

Hi Bulldozer,
my name is Sue.
My first time on this forum.
You were my first message to read.
I have been on Sertraline 100 gms 4 months now 50 gms 6 weeks before that.
I hurt my back before Christmas and it tripped me into flight and flight ect.
I turned the corner 3 weeks ago.
I can only tell you as a christian and wanting to help you, that mindset is so important.
Please try this first , listen to the UK blessing on utube, and look at the peace of understanding on their faces. Sing the blessing when you have intrusive thoughts it will protect you.
If you don't want to hear this, please stop for a moment and bulldoze through the negative. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I promise.
Best Wishes.

ive been on it for 5and a half years and recently upped my dose to 75mg for 4 weeks and now 100mg for 1 week and it comes snd goes and my ear is slightly blocked. im hoping it is a side effect that will go away in time

Still comes and goes and I noticed that it gets worse when I feel worse. When I feel OK it goes away. It will definitely go away after we level. I just feel I am not able to level, I am on Sertraline since last November, upped my dose to 100 in February and I still have more bad days than good 😦

thats not good, have you thought of upping your dose again? im having a couple of bad days but i only upped again 12 days ago so hoping this dosage works for me. its such a rough roller coaster of a ride and the constant worry of weather its going to work is horrible. i really hope it works for you
