Does meniere affects to ability to pronounce words?

I have noticed in last few days that i have difficulties to speak properly when having conversation with someone. It is difficult enough to concentrate around noise but then also to get words out. Is that normal with meniere? I also noticed that i drop things so like hands don't work normally..my balance is good so meniere hasn't taken that away from me yet. I appreciate all the feedback.

Hi, I have had problems speaking as in slurring and stuttering at times also my thought process trying to think of the words I'm trying to say.
Is that what you mean??
I have not been diagnosed as of yet but symptoms are pointing in that direction.
Please let me kno if that's what you mean because I was wondering if maybe that was just anxiety because nobody else has mentioned it.
Thanks

It may be related to the low frequency hearing loss often associated with Meniere's Disease.

I don't have difficulty speaking but I am struggling for the correct word. It's as though my memory has been affected. I don't have a diagnosis at the moment but have been told I have loss of balance on left side. I am all over the place and hardly ever go out now unless with someone for support and rely on tripod walker to get me from home to daughter's car. I was diagnosed BPPV July 2015 and had vertigo since but since early July this year my balance has been so bad I can do very little standing up. I do have the odd day where it is slightly better than the day before but most days are horrendous and it is now getting me down quite a bit. I don't return to ENT until 7 Oct and appt with Neurology in 7 Nov so got a while to wait to see what is causing this. I do have other issues and I have no idea if they are connected or not, I have aching muscles and tingling in my legs and hands and tire very easy. This past few months have been exhausting. I have not worked since July and my job is now at risk but if I return I have no idea if I could attend from one day to the next. Not to mention actually getting there. Everything is do 'up in the air' at the moment and it isvery hard.

Yes. This was the most troubling issue for me last year. The cognitive issues I experiences were worse than the physical issues becaue it interfered with work. I was fired by several clients who thought I was drunk at work. Being wobbly and slurring speach presents as impaired by drugs or alcohol. I also had trouble reading as words skipped around on the page. My neurotologist said that in simple terms my brain was working so hard to keep me upright (and does a very good job of that) that it couldn't handle the other things I was asking it to do. I would also mix up letters when speaking. The first time this happened I was trying to say "coin toss" and it came out "toin coss". I stopped because I knew what I said wasn't quite right but every time I tried to say it it came out as "toin coss". It took 5 attempts and a lot of focus to get it right. I also have the brain fog that is fairly common. My doc said this type of cognitive impairment, beyond brain fog, is not common but is seen with MD.

That is exactly what happens to me,especially in the afternoon even if i have a good day&just tired. Words just come out wrong. Even my 5 year old corrects me. Do you also have any problems pick things up? I seem to drop things, bit glumsy with my hands...hard to describe

This does not sound like Meniere's. Have you been diagnosed?
Have you had an mri? I suggest you talk to your doc. I believe they will order mri with and without contrast.
Noise/concentration can be a side affect our a trigger with Meniere's but not being able to get word or is concerning.....as well as dropping things.
Good luck! Keep us updated?
