Does my estrogen or progesterone need changing

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi ladies

Anyone advice would be welcome.

I've been on Evorel 50 patches with 100mg of progesterone tablets which I take 12 days of the month as I still have a light period.

I've been on this hrt for 12 weeks.

I still have debilitating headaches every day.

Anxious and panicky and not wanting to go anywhere.

My neck is stiff I am weak.

Does anyone know if my dosage could be to low to cause this ?

Have you thought that your progesterone could be too high? You could be intolerant but I'd try a lower dose just to see if it changes your headaches; but these are due to fluctuations in the hormone levels.

      Hi

Is it possible that only 100mg would be too high ?

I heard also some people can't tolerate the utrogestan tablets. Perhaps I will make an appointment with the doctor tomorrow. Thanks for your advice

Yes it could be I'm on Estee solo tablets after changing from gel as I kept feeling dizzy and stiff joints you could lower the dose or change to another hrt to see if it makes a difference

I'll speak to the doctor. Is the estee just the estrogen? Do you take estrogen and progesterone? I do as I still have a light period. I am 46. X

    Hi Michelle.

Hope you are feeling well today.

Following up on this post, did you change the dose of progesterone? How are you coping with it now.

I'm realising that I'm going to try hrt in the near future, trying to manage with sage and meno pace amongst other stuff thats been suggested by other ladies but I think hrt is the way forward.

My sister has been on the same as you, we both still have periods, and she says the 12 progesterone pills make her feel like she has raging pms. irrational and irritable. Could easily have left her husband. This worries me as the contraceptive pill didn't suit me for those reasons although that was 30 years ago and probably changed now.

Any feedback would be welcome thanks

      Hi

Not too bad today thankyou. I upped the utrogestan from 100mg to 200mg which it should have been. Looloo on here said to take it evenings as it helped with sleep. I take them for 14 days of the month. Tomorrow my rest day starts so I will let you know if anything changes. I'm not sure about side effects I've still had panic/anxiety with going anywhere. Depression has eased and no hot sweats. I am also having cbt therapy. I'm really trying to think I'm ok. Nothing will hurt. It's hard but I have to try and make the most of this time. Good luck! Xxx
