Roger, if you are noticing red spots that were not there before then it is most likely caused by irritation that the sensitive skin on the head of your penis is in contact with.

A Dermatologist would generally refer to this as some form of Contact Dermatitis - simply meaning, something external to the body that has been in contact with the skin has had an irritation effect.

The often difficult thin to puzzle out is what is the source of this irritation. So, if you have recently had unprotected sex, that could be a potential source. Even condoms can be a source of irritation.

Often something like this can be caused by a change in the soap you use to wash your penis with, or even a change in shower gel, or any other form of body wash. This is why it is best to use water only to wash the entire penis with, particularly the sensitive head / glans and foreskin area.

Also, if you are using any form of Lube, for sex or masturbation, again this can be a potential source of irritation.

In simple terms, if you exclude everything from getting onto the skin of the glans / head and foreskin of your penis, then given time, the red spots you see will eventually fade ......
