Does No Shoulder Pain Mean Surgery Not Required?

Posted , 3 users are following.

My spine is slightly rotated to the left due to muscle imbalances and repeated left ankle injuries when I was younger.  I recently overused the shoulder  internal rotator of my right arm (pec, subscapularis) and the left shoulder external rotators (trees minor major etc) along with all the posterior muscles of the upper left side of my back (rhomboids, felt).

Aside from a deep aching pain in my right shoulder at the onset of the injury, and pain from overuse and tissue damage on the left side of my back, I have no pain at all now, just muscle tightness In aforementioned muscles and some loss of function because of the injury.

Any suggestion on what could be wrong because it has been 5 months now, and is it safe to rule out surgery is needed?

I can’t afford a doctor because I haven’t been  able to work in over five months.

I will look into frozen shoulder, however,  to see if it could be what is causing my problems.

    Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear that. There are some good exercise videos created by physical therapists on YouTube. Be careful.

I’m researching videos online as we speak.

I used a tennis ball to massage the muscles on the posterior left muscles of my back.  It appears the rotator cuff muscles are injured, as massing the muscles with the ball elicit a lot of pain (good pain).

      Thanks.
