Does nocturnal lower back pain ever have a benign or not serious cause?

Hello, everyone.

For the past 3 months I’ve had lower back pain that only occurs at night while I’m sleeping.  Usually around 5:30am almost consistently.  It clears up as the day goes on, except maybe a handful of times where it persisted throughout the day.  But typically it’s gone after waking up.

My CRP is low at 1.8.

My only “issues” are Vitamin D Deficiency, Fatty Liver, and sorta high cholesterol(240 and it should be under 200).

My question is... does nocturnal lower back pain like I described ever have a benign or not-so-serious cause?

Lower back pain is very common and in most cases it is benign cause.  It is often the result of weak muscles and back exercises should help.

However with the case of  lower back pain starting suddenly you need to get it checked out by a doctor.  Back pain can often be referred from elsewhere and can occasionally be a sign of kidney problems. It probably is nothing but best to be safe than sorry.  x

Just a guess, but maybe your back paid is due to your sleeping position.  Try experimenting with different positions.  like a pillow under the knees while lying on your back, or maybe a different pillow, or anything that is different than what you currently do.  Good luck
