Hello,

I'm 28 years old male, My First exposure Oral sex (above and below belt) on May-03-2016

No other symptoms except mild fever.

After 10 days of exposure, i have given blood samples, IGM came as positive ( i know this useless test for adults), IGG-1 and IGG-2 came as negative.

Third week - Both IGG type-1 and IGG type-2 are Negative.

Tested againt my Eighth Week i.e, June-22-2016 (51 days after exposure) Both IGG type-1 and IGG type-2 are Negative.

On July-01 and July-02, I started feeling itching on penile shaft especially during nights while mastubating. On July-03 no more itching but i see a red bump got created on penile shaft and soon after couple hours it turns into my skin color but no pain and no blister just bump, i pressed hard still no pain and no fluid in it, today July-04 is second day still no pain and no blister or no fluid.

Aprt from above symptoms,i have no cold sores or blisters above or below belt. Also, i had my all other STD's and Urinalysis tests came as negative.

Please..Please help me answer below Questins:

1) Is this symptom of herpes? If it is, type-1 or typ-2?

2) Tested 51 days after exposure which is negative, can i belive on this test results?

2) Can i go get aother HSV type test?

Whilst negative IgG at 2 months cannot be said to be conclusive, it is nevertheless a very good sign. If your IgG numbers have remained steady at around the same level and shown no gradual increase within the negative range, then I would further relax. Symptoms also don't typically show up so late. Bottom line: I do not suspect herpes in your case. If you're concerned, repeat the IgG test at 3 months, then that's it.

Note: Oral sex puts you at risk for HSV-1 (Type 2 is far less common orally and much less infectious when oral as well). Just to answer your question about type.

Hello Dcotor, Thanks for reviewing my above post and for reply.

I have few questions here, please reply when possible

      1) Both test centers did't not provide IGG type specific negative values and they just provided test results which says <0.9 which is negative, what specific test or Order No i need to specify in order to get tested with values?

      2) My pimple on penile shaft is still looks like bump and no pain/itch, no fluid/blister is filled and its almost 34 hours now. I'm still waiting for it to get filled with fluid so that i can get swab done immediately.

         a) Does herpes blisters/pimples are always painful or there are                  chances for painless herpes?

         b) In case of herpes how long does it take for bump to become                 blister?  (and) is it possible does itching and then become pimple         is herpes without blisters?

      3)  Also you have mentioned "Type 2 is far less common orally and much less infectious when oral as well"

I'm not sure whether my sex partner has herpes or not, if i assume If she has hsv-1 already and i remember i had oral and she released secretion and i tasted and swallowed it, are there chances of hsv-2 chances  in this case?

Also i dont see any herpes symptoms on here at all.

Hello Dcotor, Thanks for reviewing my above post and for reply.

I am not a doctor, but am very familiar with herpes research and literature, and have the virus myself.

I have few questions here, please reply when possible

      1) Both test centers did't not provide IGG type specific negative values and they just provided test results which says <0.9 which is negative, what specific test or Order No i need to specify in order to get tested with values?

That is the correct test, but your provider chose not to give out the index value, only the corresponding reference range. Don't worry about it in that case. You can simply re-test at 3+ months, if you feel it necessary.

It varies a lot. They are usually somewhat sore, but sometimes only to the touch.

      b) In case of herpes how long does it take for bump to become blister? (and) is it possible does itching and then become pimple is herpes without blisters?

Usually a couple of days. Herpes lesions do not always blister or present as blisters, however.

If you only gave and received oral sex, the odds are it's HSV-1, *IF* (big if!) she even has a herpes infection in the first place. She may not have it at all.

      Thank You sir,

Also,How long it takes to heal if herpes without blisters at first time?

Hard to say. A classic first outbreak would normally blister/ulcerate and take up to 3 weeks to heal. If a milder case, then presumably less time than that.
