Does sertraline make you gain weight?

Hi, does anyone know is sertraline has a side effect of wieght gain? I have been taking 50mg for 6 months now but have gained half a stone Im not eating anymore than I used too other than that this is keeping my mild depression and my anxiety at bay

    I’ve heard it can make your gain weight but it’s really just calories in Calories out!

    Hi funny i asked the same question a few months ago and it was important to me as i have an eating disorder, and there was no way i wanted to put on weight, i was gaining, i gained 6lbs , but i am off it now and the weight has gone, but a few people came back to me and said they had lost weight, so i think it is the individual person, so if you are one for putting on weight , some drugs will do it like me , sorry , its true but if its helps your anxiety, and mild depression then it is up to you, as for me i tried alternate medicines, counselling , in it now x

      Thanks for that I thought I was being crazy Its stressing me out a bit so not helping my anxiety, think I will need to re think and maybe change medication thanks again x

    So far I have lost 25 pounds on Zoloft   I think it is different for everyone.
