Does sinus pressure feel like this?

Posted , 4 users are following.

A few hours ago, my nose started feeling weird. A little bit beneath the bridge began to have a pressure on it like I had my glasses sitting there even though I haven't worn them since yesterday. Is that what sinus pressure feels like or should I be worried? My nose is also very dry inside, my neck hurts, and I'm starting to get a very mild headache...

That has happened for me, to the point where I can't stand the pressure of wearing my reading glasses.

    Take care.

Do you have other health issues going on or just this?

I have mononucleosis, but that is all. I've been to a doctor for both of these conditions and they refused to do further testing for autoimmune diseases (which is what I worry over a lot given my symptoms). I was confirmed to have mono awhile back and after returning she told me that my symptoms were just persisting because I didn't rest like I was supposed to. I have no other symptoms of sinusitis than this, but after having my nose checked, they told me that my sinuses are swollen from allergies. I have never had this sort of pressure before with sinus though which is why I'm asking here to see if anyone else experienced this.

Good point that Margaret has made. My reply was in context of a known sinus infection. I assumed that you too had such a condition, hence the group.

If that isn't the case then consider seeing the doctor with your symptoms.

    Best wishes.

I was diagnosed with a sinus infection from seasonal allergies yesterday, but since I've never had this sort of pressure, I wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing it. The other symptoms I have questioned in other categories was after several rounds of testing and my doctor refusing to do anymore to test for autoimmune conditions.

yes it it just that with the range if symptoms you are posting about here and elsewhere...they are very familiar to me. Often caused by auto immune disorders. If you have dry mouth and/or eyes consider being tested for Sjogren's. Also Lupus has these kind of symptoms. I personally have Behcet's disease and suffered the same symptoms but it is not likely to be that as it also has particular ulceration. but all of those disorders are inflammatory in nature and that is possibly why you have the sinus issue and dry nose etc.

A very good specialist is really what you need to sort it out and diagnose what is going on. Good luck.

There are other conditions as well which could be the reasons for the symptoms mentioned.

I am not a doctor or medically trained, I can only offer personal thoughts which is no substitute for seeing a GP.

But seeing what you mentioned about what the OP is also posting in other groups then seeking medical advice is probably the best option.

      Best wishes to you Ciela

yes I think a proper work up id needed with full range of blood tests. You are so right that a number of things can cause this range of symptoms and a lot of conditions are often overlooked or misdiagnosed. l was almost 40 before I was properly diagnosed.
