Does the chlorine in pools affect bv?

I started HS swimming this year, and it was really fun. However, with a month left in the season, I started noticing signs of bv. It only got worse despite multiple visits to the doctors and multiple rounds of treatments. I am curious to know if the chlorine in the pool could have triggered this imbalance in bacteria. I swam 2 hours everyday for 5 days a week during the season. Overall, would swimming like this in a highly chlorinated pool affect my bv?
