Does the consumption of liquor effect HS out breaks?

I am trying to support someone I love who has HS. They have cut out numerous food based triggers, but I feel like alcohol is one of the main reasons why the out breaks are as bad as they are. I do not have HS and I do not want to assume, so I am looking for honest feed back.

    Hi there!

I have suffered from HS for 14 years now. I have done the "cutting trigger foods" and nothing helped the progression of HS. I don't drink, except for maybe once a year (usually halloween). The main issue with HS is that every single case is different. Some people may be triggered by food or alcohol, and others like myself are triggered by stress and hormones. It makes it very difficult to help others because what works for one person may not help the other.

I’ve never noticed an alcoholic connection the only way I could see this being a problem is if alcohol is their trigger food. Mine is nightshades + hormonal imbalance from Pcos.

If they are an alcoholic the resulting mineral / vitamin definciences are more likely to be a contributing factor
