Does the heliotrope rash ever go away?

I have extreme itching on my eyelid (just one) and it has darkened to a brownish/purplish color that looks like the photo's I've seen of heliotrope rash. I was going to see my Dr but the rash is gone. I'm not sure he would be able to do anything without the rash. I also have sporadic issues of itchiness on my arms and thighs. It is worse at night to the point I've awoken to find severe scratches on my arms and legs and didn't even realize I was scratching myself. I also have Hashimoto's so I already have autoimmune disorders making this seem more likely. Anyway, will it do any good to see a Dr without the rash and is it likely to be heliotrope rash if it comes and goes? Thanks
