does the low fodmap diet work?

ive been suffering with abdo problems for 8 years, been under consultants galore and recently my doctor suggested i try a low fodmap diet as she believes its irritable bowel, has anyone done this or had any experience as to if it has worked or not , any info would be great

Dairy can also be a flare up instigator.
I took symprove and that worked for me.
Centrifugal juicers can work as they take out the complex fibre but keeps the vitamins in.

I should point out that although my GP thinks I have IBS, I'm not so sure. Either way, altering my diet even for such a short amount of time has been a revelation.

I definitely recommend it. And even if it doesn't work as well for you, you'll still get benefits from it (you digest gluten free food easily and you don't feel bloated because of it
)
