Does the surgery help in the long run?

I have read many horrifying stories about the anal fissure post op.  Does it help?  Was it worth it in the long run?  I am scheduled to have surgery for Sphincterotomy, Fissurectomy, and removal of multiple prolasped grade 4 hemorrhoids.   Was it worth it???

A lot of people have told me that they've had instant pain relief and within two weeks they were as good as good if u look at one of my discussions some one mentions there successful story in depth maybe u can contact them smile in saying that though I've also read a few negative ones where people not only still sore while the fissure was healing but had incontenience for a while- if you trust your surgeon and his aware of your concerns then u wil b fine smile best of luck !

I would say yes it was for me,I had sphirenctomy n fissurectomy as its the only way to relax that muscle and promote healing. The build up of scar tissue disappeared and the pain eased,in a few days I got to appreaciate the procedure.I dont hv exp wth hemmies though.
