Does the white patches disappear?

Hi,

Male 28 diagnosed with LS for half a year and dermatologist provided mometasone to apply. I started off with itching and 2 prominent white patches on the foreskin, next to the frenulum. Soon after mometasone, the itching stopped but after months of on and off application, the white patches are still present. I also has a non-stretchy phimotic band at the end of foreskin which persisted.

Shld the white patches normally disappear after steroid treatment? or its good as long as its controlled.
