Does this look like herpes??

I've just come back from a festival, and yesterday I noticed this kind of rash next to my mouth. I kissed someone a lot who has a beard so I'm really hoping it's just friction burn or perhaps an allergy. He didn't have any active herpes from what I could see - I also gave him oral sex. I'm going to the clinic tomorrow but I would also like to know opinion of people who suffer with it and maybe get some advice... please help!

When I got oral herpes, mine didn't do what most peoples do, which I break out on the outside of their mouth, I only broke out inside of my mouth. I just woke one day and had some ulcers in my mouth abs by the next there were more and I was in so much pin and very run down feeling. I wouldn't stress it.

So you got the ulcers straight away or was it a while after?

Now my genital herpes, I had symptoms w in 3 days. Mild discomfort when peeing, mild burning, little itch and had a cluster if fissures. By 5 days after infection, I was exhuasted like I was after oral infection, but a tad worse. I hadn't had sex in 2 yrs and had sex w this guy once and boom... I had symptoms of soreness the day after, but thought it was from going so long w out it, not so.
How many days since you guys kissed?

We got together on the saturday and were kissing up until I left yesterday, but the redness started on sunday and got worse yesterday/today. It hasn't spread anywhere, just stayed in the same place. I'm using Brulidine to treat it and hopefully make it go away! I have work tomorrow and the last thing I want is people asking questions!

As Nikki mentioned, do you see any pustules/blisters? That doesn't follow the typical pattern ans I sure hope his lips weren't on the side of your face! Hahaha! I doubt he was kissing all the way over there.

I can't see any blisters but there are raised bits which I'm thinking could be the start of them, or perhaps some scabs might be coming up.
To be honest he was kissing me all over my face all weekend so if he did have it it could have ended up over there XP

I'm from the UK and I normally go to the clinic on Wednesdays to get my warts checked on and frozen if necessary so I can ask them what they reckon it is, but I still would like to get as many opinions from sufferers as well in the mean time to stop myself from getting freaked out aha

See if you can go to the drug store and get cetaphil and start applying it just in case. Soaking a a warm cloth in water w Epsom salt should relieve inflammation and help clear it up faster regardless what it is..

hi may i ask how you got rid of oral herpes?

Was prescribed fucidin which I understand can be used as treatment for both, but I'd really like to know for sure if it's impetigo, herpes, or something else entirely! He wouldn't do a test and said there "wasn't one" for herpes - which I know is rubbish. Think he was just trying to fob me off
This is what it looks like today, any opinions would be helpful x

Do you feel any tingling or itching? Is it painful? I've had impitego as a child and they are painful boils. Have you been picking? Does anything hard come out when you squeeze it?
What a jerk not testing you, he's a liar. Go see someone else, preferably a female.

It is quite itchy, a bit painful but not too much. I haven't been touching it at all in case I spread it to another part of my face. The little spots only came up earlier - do they look anything like the boils you get with herpes? I'm literally wondering around in the dark here, and google images can be really misleading!
Yeah he's never been very good to me, I think I will ask to see someone else next time or see if there's a different surgery. I live in not a very nice area so good doctors are hard to come by

Then immediately clean your face w soap after popping. Boils from impitego are painful, itchy I don't recall... Been a long time.
Just looked it up....
Impetigo Contagiosa
This may also be called nonbullous impetigo, and is the most common type of impetigo in children. It is very contagious. This type of impetigo usually begins with red sores around the nose and mouth.
These blisters burst, leaving a weeping, red rash that becomes crusted. This rash may be itchy but is not painful. Swollen lymph nodes (bean shaped glands that help your body fight infection) may also occur with impetigo contagiosa.
I'll send you the link in private message, since they like to block posts w links here.

I thought maybe perhaps someone has kissed me in greeting and had kissed me to the side of my lips kinda thing, I'm not really sure. If that's the case I really hope I haven't passed it on to the fella I was with, he has a young child!

Place a hot compress on it and try to pop it after that.
