    Dear juliannagrace,

Acutely painful ulceration occurring within a week or a few days after sex is likely to be genital herpes. The photos you've posted appear to show extensive areas of (painful) ulceration affecting both labia.

You need to be seen by a doctor ASAP (casualty/family doctor/sexual clinic) to start oral antiviral medication (aciclovir). For now, take some painkillers (paracetamol) and sit in a warm bath of salt water to ease the pain. You can pee in the bath water if it hurts too much. Lidocaine gel or cream from your local pharmacist/drugstore can also help ease the pain, but your priority now is to get medical help and start aciclovir,

    Rgds,

    Adhari.

Or HSV-1. It can infect the genitals as well, usually from oral sex.
