Does this look like herpes? Help!

Posted , 6 users are following.

i had these red spots all over my penis shaft, faded away after 2 hours, red spots keep coming back quite regularly, they are painless, did the igg test 7 months after my possible exposure, came back both negative for 1 and 2, second pic is a zit like abrasion which i believe was caused from skin rubbing with tight underwear overnight, it stung a little but was barely noticable, swabbed and also came back with a negative result, what could i possibly have?

it doesnt look like herpes to me . herpes tend to be more like blisters and crusty. if it was herpes they wouldnt fade after 2 hours .

maybe its a fungus / yeast infection ?

like i said try an anti fungal cream or something that has cortisone in it

Looks to me like a possible allergic reaction. Try switching your underwear to a different fabric and see if that helps.

red spots keep coming back about once every week, is this a mild herpes outbreak? whats going on?

Sounds like some kind of dermatitis, or skin irritation. Change the soap you use to wash your skin and clothes, and even the shampoo you use for your hair. See if that helps at all. It wouldn't be herpes coming back every week, almost no chance if you're even just somewhat reasonably healthy.

Based on your symptoms and your swab test, it may not be a herpes infection. It can be an allergy, you should keep them clean and wear loose clothes to avoid irritation. If the sores still present, you should ask your doctor for another STD test

thanks for your answer, does the second pic look like herpes? i heard the hsv1 igg has a 30 percent chance of a false negative but the hsv2 igg has a 8 percent chance of a false negative, so 2 is highly accurate while 1 has a 30 percent chance of not detecting the infection/antibodies, do you think i should repeat the herpes igg test?
