Does this pain ever go away?

I've had pain in my shoulder probably close to 2 years now. Diagnosis was Frozen shoulder. I Did several months of physical therapy and my ROM is pretty good now, but the pain is still there. The only thing that relieves the pain is CBD Oil. I take it orally.
Anyone have any other suggestions. Do i just have to live with shoulder pain for rest if my life?
I don't want to have surgery. They did an MRi and didn't seem to think there was a tear. I can lift my arm all the way up but not without pain and it aches all the time.

You might want to consider having an MRI done of your neck. Good luck!

thanks my chiropractor took an x ray and there was a herniated disc in my cervical spine, but the adjustments didn't relieve the pain in my shoulder either.

Have you tried an epidural? I had a c6/c7 herniated disc that caused nerve pain in my arm. It was an ache that was so painful and would never go away. The MRI showed the herniated disc and I had an epidural shot that helped a lot. Eventually I did have to have a disc fusion surgery. I wouldn't let this go on too much longer. I would seek out a neurosurgeon and get an MRI. Hope this helps.

Hi Yes I can tell you the pain does lessen. I did not have the advantage of being able to take CBD oil. I wish I would have. I can say moving your shoulder as much as possible even if it hurts. I had to have mine surgically manipulated in order to get it to thaw. Now I have rotator cuff issues because I shoulder was frozen for so long that the cuff forgot what to do to work. Things are better now.

Physical therapy helped me tremendously. BUT finding a PT who actually knows what they're doing is the difficult part - most of them will hurt you since they really don't know what they're doing and actually think causing pain will treat it (lots of pain which is wrong) This will set you back and make it worse. A good PT won't hurt you. You should feel a little discomfort with the stretching exercises, but that's it. Anything more is no good.
Cortisone will eat your tendons away and they don't grow back. So don't take that cortisone shot the orthopedist offers you.
Stretching is key. This is what I picked up from PT. Doing nothing will prolong the agony.
I bought an over-the-door pulley on the internet, then I sit on a chair, and do 10 reps of stretching when my shoulder kicks up (like it is now - too much stress, I guess). The trick is not to use the muscles in your bad shoulder, but let the pulley using your opposite hand on the side where you have the good shoulder, pull up your hand/arm as far as you can with just a little bit of stretch/discomfort. If you have pain, you've gone too far. 10 seconds of a stretch, and then 10 seconds of rest. Ten times, maybe three times a day. Gradually that stretching will ease the pain and give you more mobility. And try and move the shoulder blade a little bit yourself - don't use any gizmos - that will help defrost it.
