Does this sound like a knee fracture?

Exactly a week ago, I had quite a bad fall into concrete. I hit my head and cut my face and ear. I also cut my side and fell in my knee which was very painful to walk on for a few days. It has since gotten better to walk on but the skin on my knee is completely numb and if I touch it, there is a very sharp pain a very specific place. Also, when I feel it, it feels like it's dislocated, as if there is a hole and I can move around an extra piece, completely different to my other knee. Is it possible that this is a fracture and should I see a doctor? The next appointment is not until next week so should I go to accident and emergency? Thanks

The nerves through the knee may have been damaged or compressed. Have you tried a combination of heart and cold treatment. Heat helps improve the blood supply to the nerves. B vitamins are also good for the nerves. Speak to a pharmacist.

If you see your GP next week you may be referred into a fracture or orthopaedic clinic. If you go to A/E you may also be referred into a fracture clinic. Have you had an Xray?     In the meantime it would be best to rest your knee as much as possible. I also agree with Lucynewas comments.
