A few years ago I started to get involuntary movements when I was going to sleep. Literally any parts of me fly out whether it be my arms leg finger head. This then followed with pain in the lymph nodes in the left of my groin along with sharp pains in my left hip. This followed to the right side and my right hip. I then started to get pain all over my ribs sharp stinging pains the same as my hips. I get cramps and these stinging pains all down my arms too and I have white patches on my tongue that if I brush off they come back hours later. The last few weeks. My sternum and around the collar bone hurts too. The pains in my hips are unbareable i feel like crying . I have had hundreds of blood tests all clear brain mri clear three chest X-ray's all clear two three abdominal CT scans mri lumbar spine x 2 four abdominal ultrasounds a camera in bowel stomach bladder vagina throat and literally only found gastritis and h pylori yet here I am in agonising pain in my bones and these horrible movements . Doctor has mentioned fibromyalgia but I'm sure it's something worse but I'm at a dead end and I don't know what to do waiting list for a r hematologist is almost a year away I can't cope with this much pain

Sorry to hear that you're in pain. Have they done a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy? That's what I thought I had too, but the test was negative. I'm still looking for a diagnosis.

Hi no they have not done anything like that. They just say the amount of tests I've had done something would of shown up by now on the cts and mris and something would show up in blood work but it always comes back perfect. He keeps mentioning fibro but im sure it's worse than that. What kind of symptoms are you suffering with ? This has been going on for three years for me still no diagnosis . started when I was 27 mainly after the birth of my last daughter x

I too had been complaining for years and finally my doctor had them do a bone marrow test. I was tested positive for leukemia about 10 years ago. I hope and pray you will have a good outcome when the doctors find a diagnosis for you.

Hi brown I hope you are OK now. my doctor told me its definitely not leukemia he said I had had a specific bloods done to be tested for that and markers which would have shown something . I just wish they would hurry and find out what it is it's driving me mad it's been going on for so long . I had a letter this morning to say they suggest muscoskeletal pain or fibromyalgia but yet again I disagree x

Hi stasil: No doesn't sound like cancer. It sounds like Rheumatoid Arthritis. I had it all my life, but it took until I was 74 yrs old before I was finally diagnosed. It doesn't always show up in blood tests. Once, A blood test showed me as borderline for Lupus. I don't have Lupus, but the test showed that because I was positive for Arthritis. Hip pain was one of the worst pains I had. I believe it is also related to bursitis. I had been doing exercises that were meant to build up the strength in my knees, and the bursitis in hips stopped as soon as I stopped doing those exercises.
Best of luck in being diagnosed properly.

Harris hill at what age did u start with this pain. I'm thirty year old female. The pain isn't there all the time it's just sharp pain right in the bone minutes apart sometimes hours apart . It started with my hips but now I get is around my rib cage. My doctor is pretty sure in have fibromyalgia and I have recently had costocondritis also. I wonder if what you said is another side effect of fibro x
