Does this sound like bv or yeast?

hi I hope I've posted this in the right place I did post it elsewhere but didn't get a response and I really need advice.

about a year ago I started to get irritation, burning and itching below. This happened about a week before my period and calmed once my period came. This happened every month at the same time. I went to see a gyno who said I had cysts on my ovaries from ivf treatment i had 6 years ago and could be down to this and hormones. He put me in the mini pill in the hope my periods would stop but they didn't, if anything they're actually longer but it did work for the irritation BUT now it's back and i just don't know what it is or what to do it's really getting me down. i really cant see ivf from 6 years ago causing this. my partner has said that at times when I have this problem before my period and we have intercourse he sometimes feels a bit irritated for a day or 2 aswell. I've been with my partner 13 years so certainly no sti or anything like that. I'm going to attempt to ring the nurse tomorrow but in the meantime it's just so irritating and sore. does this sound like bv or yeast infection and if so does anyone else get this just before a period? I'm okay any other time. Anyone I've asked doesnt have this song I feel quite alone and embarrassed about it to be honest. please help. thank you.
