Does this sound like glandular fever? Feeling depressed

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hello all,

I think i have glandular fever, recently turned 37. I have had noticeable symptoms since beginning of August.

Initial Symptoms whilst on holiday,

muscle twitching

Enlarged lymphnodes under my jaw

Tiredness

strange crawling sensation down leg

clicking sensation in sinus/nasal area

mouth ulcers

Two weeks later on arriving home

flu like symptoms

night sweats

low grade fever

chills

pain in groin, underarm neck and jaw

pain in joints

two weeks in bed

sinus pain/ear pain

pain in teeth/cheek

tinnitus

headaches to side of temples

all symptoms eased up except occasional night sweats which have eased off

i still have buzzing tinnitus sensation in head at night

sinus/teeth cheek pain

recently gland pain and joint pain has returned

Ive had full blood count twice. thyroid levels checked. All excellent. doctor says nothing sinister which is great. massive wait times for appointment at doctors.

I'm starting to feel depressed, been a tough year, my mum has recently passed and to help me through this difficult time i was enjoying the gym. obviously its been difficult to go feeling like this, and its now effecting my mood. im sad and irritable

has anyone had sinus tooth pain with glandular fever? its my main persisting symptom

thank you in advance to anyone who replies

    Hi Deborah,

I wanted to check in and see how you're feeling. Did you ever get tested for mono? I have similar symptoms including the occasional tooth ache but my ebv test came back negative. It's been 3 weeks since my symptoms started and it seems to be getting worse. I don't know what else it could be if it's not glandular fever.

yes i am sorry to say. all typical symtoms. it has beat me down also. im on 9 months on my 2nd reactivation. Im probably 70% , but still have 3 large nodes. 1 is under my jawline at my ear causing pain and ringing in my ear. 1 in groin area and other on opposite side of neck. Facebook has a couple of great EBV mono groups with great info. Rest when you can and stop alcohol if you drinkcj
